NBA Betting Tips 11th January 2014
Indiana Pacers are 17-1 at home this season and they host Washington Wizards in the first game of a busy night in the NBA on Saturday. The ever-improving Brooklyn Nets welcome Miami Heat to the Barclays Center in search of a fifth straight win.
On the other hand, Boston Celtics will bid to end their win drought, which has seen them lose six games in a row. They play Golden State Warriors, whose superb 10-game win streak was ended by the Nets on Thursday. In one of the most exciting contests of the night, Houston Rockets travel to Atlanta Hawks with both teams 6-4 in their last 10.
Washington Wizards @ Indiana Pacers – 12.00 am
Bwin offer 1/9 for the Pacers, although they suffered a defeat to the Hawks on Thursday. Bwin offer a very valuable 6/1 for Wizards to win the match, however Indiana are very solid at home and another home victory looks the likely outcome.
Washington have won two in a row, recording wins over both Cleveland and New Orleans and will come into this full of confidence. They are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference and look to close in on the leaders.
Miami Heat @ Brooklyn Nets – 01:00 am
Miami had won three in a row before losing to Knicks on Friday and hold an 11-6 away record so far this campaign. Nets have beat a number of top teams during the last week, whilst finally moving up the Eastern table. The money line match result is not worth betting on in this one, as Brookyln are 1/7 and Heat are 2/11.
It’s always hard to back against Heat, therefore individual player bets are the better option for this one. LeBron James has been shooting well as ever and he is likely to put in another fine display. For LeBron to score more than 26 points, Paddy Power offer 5/6.
Joe Johnson often plays well when the pressure is on against bigger opposition and he also 5/6 to score 16.5 points or more.
Boston Celtics @ Golden State Warriors – 03:30 am
Boston travel to Oakland to face the Warriors, who were beaten for the first time in 10 games last time. This is sure to give Celtics some confidence, however the betting shows that Golden State remain very much the favourites.
The home side are 2/11, whilst Brad Stevens’ men can be backed at 4/1 with Bwin to finally get back to winning ways.
For the three-point specialist Steph Curry to score 23.5 points or more, Paddy Power offer valuable odds of 5/6.
Houston Rockets @ Atlanta Hawks – 12:30 am
Houston are fifth in the Western and boast a decent record of 23-13. They face Atlanta, who are another team in fine form, lying third in the Eastern.
Although Hawks have a slightly worse record of 19-17, they can still create a massive challenge to Rockets in this one and may be worth a small bet. Hawks are 17/10 with Bwin, whilst Houston are as short as 10/21 to hand the hosts only their sixth home defeat of the season.
L.A. Lakers @ L.A. Clippers – 03:30 am
Finally, L.A. Clippers and L.A. Lakers face off at the Staples Center and it is no surprise to see that Clippers are the strong 5/19 favourites. They have a fine 25-13 record and are placed nine places above their rivals in the Western Conference.
Despite the talk of Pau Gasol leaving the Lakers, he has been playing well as the big man. He represents decent value to score above 19.5 points with Paddy Power, who offer 4/5.
Detroit Pistons @ Philadelphia 76ers – Dallas Mavericks @ New Orleans Pelicans – Charlotte Bobcats @ Minnesota Timberwolves – Phoenix Suns @ Memphis Grizzlies – Chicago Bulls @ Milwaukee Bucks – Cleveland Cavaliers @ Utah Jazz – Orlando Magic @ Sacramento Spurs.
