NBA Betting Tips 2nd December 2013
There is limited action in the NBA tonight as only 5 games are scheduled, however , some good betting value and exciting contests are a certainty.
Indiana Pacers @ Portland Trail Blazers – 03:00 am
The Pacers continued their blistering form on Sunday, beating a strong LA Clippers team 105-100. Star man Paul George shone again with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
They travel to another of the NBA’s top sides tonight, the Portland Trail Blazers. Terry Stotts’ men are 14-3 and top the Western Conference so are sure to give the 16-1 Pacers a tough game.
The odds for both sides are rather tempting, with the Eastern leaders the 4/5 favourites with most firms. Bwin are offering 11/10 for the home side to win though and both look very tempting for two sides playing quality ball.
Other bets worth looking at are for Paul George to score above 24.5 and LeMarcus Aldridge to score above 21.5.
Atlanta Hawks @ San Antonio Spurs – 01:30 am
San Antonio Spurs hold the same record as the Trail Blazers and lie in second. They host Atlanta Hawks tonight in a game that could put them back in top spot, depending on the Pacers game.
Both teams lost their last game, Spurs to Houston and Atlanta to Washington, so they will be looking to get back to winning ways here.
Hawks sit in third in the Eastern Conference on 9-9 and symbolise decent value of 5/1. The home side are as short as 1/7 so represent no value in a tricky game.
Another bet that may be worth a punt is for veteran Tony Parker to score over 17.5 points. Prolific 3-point shooter Kyle Korver is out with rib contusion which is a blow to the Hawks.
New Orleans Pelicans @ Chicago Bulls – 01:00 am
Chicago Bulls have had a very disappointing start to the season, with Derrick Rose again picking up an injury that will put him out for the rest of the season and a shocking away record.
Tom Thibodeau’s men face New Orleans Pelicans and are the 5/11 favourites though, as they boast a 5-0 home record. The Pelicans have won their last two and are currently 8-8.
The 15/8 price that Sky Bet are offering for the visitors represents good value for a team in form, however the United Center remains a very difficult place to win.
A separate bet that may be of interest is for Bulls in-form man, Luol Deng to score above 20 points and his side to win at 11/5 with William Hill.
Orlando Magic @ Washington Wizards – 12:00 am
Washington Wizards have improved on last season, coming into this one in decent form. They are fifth in the Eastern with an 8-9 record and welcome Orlando Magic to the Verizon Center.
The home side produced a good win over Atlanta on Saturday night and are the short 2/5 favourites to record a ninth win. Magic are 9/4 with Sky Bet, however the home side represent average value for an accumulator.
Wizards to win by 6-10 could be a good bet here at 10/3 with Paddy Power. John Wall has been playing superbly and won the player of the week award last week, so for him to score above 23.5 is sure to be a decent bet.
Houston Rockets @ Utah Jazz – 02:00 am
The final game is between Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz. Jazz are at the foot of the Western with a dismal record of 3-15, however have recorded decent wins over Chicago and Phoenix recently.
The away side are in top form though, sitting fifth in the Western on 13-5. They have won five in a row and should not be backed against at 2/9 in this one.
BET OF THE DAY: Four-Fold – Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards & Houston Rockets to win.
