The pick of the tennis action this week comes from the Netherlands as the Rotterdam Open gets underway on Monday morning.

The tournament is the first of 11 ‘ATP 500’ events this season, the third highest category set of tournaments on the men’s tour below the Gland Slams and ATP 1000 competitions.

There’s also action from the Copa Claro and U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships on the men’s tour over the next seven days, as well as the Qatar Total Open on the women’s tour.

Rotterdam Open Betting Tips

There’s a strong line-up at the Ahoy Rotterdam Centre this week with six of the world’s top ten competing for the title, including Juan Martín del Potro, Andy Murray and Tomáš Berdych.

Murray is in fact the pre-tournament favourite in the outright stakes with the bookies following a couple of fine performances in the recent Davis Cup matches against the USA a fortnight ago.

Murray begins his pursuit of the title on Tuesday against Frenchman Édouard Roger-Vasselin who is currently ranked at 38 in the world. The Brit is 1/7 favourite with Boylesports to win this match, with Bet 365 offering the best odds of 7/1 on Roger-Vasselin.

In terms of the outright betting for the tournament, Betfred currently offer the best price of 5/2 on Murray winning the indoor hard court tournament.

Del Potro is the defending champion in Rotterdam after a straight sets win over France’s Julien Benneteau in the final here 12 months ago and is best-priced at 9/2 with Coral to retain this title.

The Argentinian faces a tricky opening match against world number 26 Gaël Monfils, who reached the final of the Doha Open back in January. William Hill price del Potro at 4/9 favourite with Monfils available at 2/1 with Bet Victor.

Other contenders for the title include Czech player Tomáš Berdych, a semi-finalist at the Australian Open last month. He plays Italian Andreas Seppi in the first round on Monday and is available at 6/1 as outright tournament winner with Ladbrokes.

Jo-Wilfred Tsonga is priced at 8/1 with Coral to take the title on Sunday, whilst SkyBet offer odds of 14/1 on Richard Gasquet for the tournament.

Sky Sports pick up live coverage of this tournament from Thursday onwards.

Other Men’s Tennis Betting

There’s also action on the men’s tour this week from the ATP 250 Copa Claro tournament from Buenos Aires.

Defending champion David Ferrer is the only major name at the tournament and he’s priced at 5/4 by Bet 365 as tournament winner. Other title contenders in Argentina include Fabio Fognini at 5/1 with Totesport, Nicolas Almagro at 6/1 with Coral and Tommy Robredo at 10/1 with Coral.

In America, it’s the U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships in Memphis. 2002 Wimbledon champion Lleyton Hewitt is the pre-tournament favourite with Paddy Power offering 11/2.

Spaniard Feliciano López is available at 15/2 with William Hill whilst defending champion Kei Nishikori is priced at 11/1 with Bet 365.

Live coverage of all these matches is available via the streaming on Bet 365.

Qatar Open Betting Tips

The main tournament on the women’s tour this week comes from the United Arab Emirates with the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Recent Australian Open champion Li Na is the pre-tournament favourite with Bet 365 offering the best price of 11/4. Agnieszka Radwańska, who reached the semi-finals here this year, is available at 11/2 with Bet Victor.

Petra Kvitová is available at 11/1 with Coral, German Angelique Kerber at 12/1 with Paddy Power and ninth seed Ana Ivanovic at 18/1 with Ladbrokes.
