The EFL Championship is one of the most competitive leagues in world football. There are 24 teams playing a total of 46 matches each. The Championship betting markets are as competitive as the league itself. Bookmakers no there no “Sure Things” in this league with the teams at the bottom well capable of beating the teams near the top. A cramped fixture list takes no prisoners so it’s essential that you get the best odds when having a bet.

At then end of the season the top two teams and the winner of the Championship play offs get promoted to the Premier League. Those teams dropping out of the Premiership with huge parachute payments are often early season betting favorites in the Championship Betting but plenty of those have come to grief pretty quickly over the years.

Lots of games are covered live on Sky so  you can watch the action when you have had bet secure in the knowledge you have got the best odds and perhaps a free bet if your a new customer.

At the end of the season Championship betting activity reaches record levels as the teams that finished in  positions three to six take part in the playoffs. With two leg semis finals and then a day ot at Wembley something to send the winners into dream land and the losers into despair. Often the losing teams hangover carries forward into the early part of the next season.
