Before the winter break Borussia were considered this season’s revelation in Bundesliga. The team ticked like a Swiss watch and as a consequence they got very close to the European places. Sadly for them, Borussia are unrecognizable in the 2nd part of the season.
Upfront they don’t have even half the creativity showed before the winter break, while at the back they always seem to be one step behind opponents.
Last round they got the first point in 2014 (1-1 away at out-of-form Werder). Borussia took the lead early in the game and everyone thought the bad run will end there, but they were happy to give up initiative and by the end of the game Borussia were under complete domination. The equalizer was of course a normal consequence of a playing style without confidence and initiative.
Hosts will miss fullback Wendt who got injured last round.
Hoffenheim destroyed Stuttgart last round (won 4-1). All players involved in the offensive phase are in excellent form, starting with striker Schipplock who netted twice last round and continuing with winger Volland (also scored last round) and play-maker Firmino who is more active than ever. Pragmatism is one of their major attributes, as they punish every single mistake opponents make.
Guests will welcome back midfielder Rudy after he was suspended last round.
At the moment Borussia are too hesitant and lack confidence. They simply can’t take all points against in-form Hoffenheim. Hoffenheim X2 at 1.93 from Ladbrokes is a safe and valuable bet.
