We are now just a week away from the Cheltenham Festival, the build and the excitement is now at fever pitch – the week before is usually quiet with punters biding their time ahead of the biggest four days of the year. The Imperial Cup meeting at Sandown should prove to be the most popular for race fans, this is a two-day meeting over both Friday and Saturday. Will a horse win the prestigious £50,000 Imperial Cup bonus? This is where the winner of the Imperial Cup goes on to win any race at Cheltenham, it hasn’t been done since 2007 and gets trickier by the year.
As a reminder, BET365 are now NRNB and BOG for the Cheltenham Festival.

It’s Fight Week in the US for an absolute blockbuster of a fight, Juan Francisco Estrada and Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez will finally clash again in a long-awaited rematch for the WBC and WBA Super 115lbs titles. They first met in 2012 with Chocolatito successful – both have since gone on to cement a boxing legacy and become P4P greats – this looks mouth-wateringly good and one that will have boxing fans all over the world fixated on. Whoever wins will harbour ambitions of becoming the undisputed super-flyweight champion by the end of 2021, Eddie Hearn is promoting the event and believes it will be a Fight of the Year contender.
There is an interesting fight over in Australia which should see some big interest for Australian fight fans, Anthony Mundine takes on Michael Zerafa. Both men are trying to bounce back after defeats and will look to this as a springboard to bigger and things.
Areas of interest for the above fights would be NJ, Latin America and Australia.
UFC 259 was good, wasn’t it? Had a bit of everything and was a great watch!
This week sees the return of the exciting Leon Edwards, after he was last seen beating Rafael dos Anjos in 2019 he returns against Belal Muhammad. Even after so much inactivity Edwards is still the #3 ranked welterweight in the division, a victory here would see him in the mix for fights with Gilber Evans and Colby Covington in what is a stacked division topped by Kamaru Usman.
This event as always should be popular in NJ but given Edwards’ inclusion, a big following for the UK.
The Six Nations returns this weekend as Wales and France both look to continue their unbeaten start. Wales head to Italy in fine spirits following their comfortable victory against England, whilst France will be looking to add to Eddie Jones’ misery with their trip to Twickenham.
Elsewhere, Scotland entertain Ireland in what should be a pretty tight affair.
