Championship Betting Tips

This weekend’s most interesting fixture is held on Sunday, as QPR host Reading at Loftus Road, in a match that would have been a premier league fixture in bygone years.

QPR will be looking to move back into second and take three points from their game in hand on Burnley, which would see them move level with that Lancashire club. Reading, meanwhile, will be looking to consolidate their playoff position following a disappointing defeat at home to 17th placed Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, with a win seeing them move to only 6 points behind QPR.

QPR are looking for a win after taking just a point from their last two difficult fixtures, against Derby and Burnley respectively, and are now 11 points being top-placed Leicester, albeit with a game in hand. This has not been helped with a long injury list including Yossi Benayoun, Charlie Austin, Danny Simpson, and Matty Phillips. Reading welcome back defender Jason Pearce, as well as long term absentee Danny Guthrie.

Both teams will be desperate to take something from the game and I’m backing a score draw. Coral offer 5/2 on the Draw, with Ladbrokes offering 2-2 at 18/1. Adam Le Fondre, January’s player of the month, is 7/1 with BetVictor to open the scoring.
