This weekend has a ream of interesting fixtures, none more so than the top of the table clash between Burnely and Leicester at Turf Moor. Burnley will go into the fixture hoping to go level with Leicester, who at one point looked to be leading the league by a considerable margin. Two draws, against Blackburn and lowly Yeovil last week, have seen that margin cut to 3 points, with one game in hand on second placed Burnley.
The clarets could go top if they beat Leicester by 2 or more goals, and have been in good form, winning their last 5 games and are the only side yet to lose at home this season, while Leicester have the best away record in the league with 11 wins from 18 games.
Elsewhere, there is a north-west derby between Bolton and Wigan at the Reebok Stadium. Wigan sit fifth, firmly in the shake-up for the playoffs, while Bolton have been in good form recently, losing only one of their last 8 games, and reording three wins in their last four home outings. Uwe Rosler’s team have won six of their last seven away games, the one defeat coming at 3rd placed QPR on Tuesday.
I expect Wigan to record a win, despite Boltons good form. They are 13/8 with William Hill, with Mark Antoine Fortune 15/2 to open the scoring. Wigan to win 2-0 are best priced 13/1 with BetVictor.
