With Leicester close to securing premier-league status, and second placed Burnley now 9 points ahead of QPR with 7 games to go, attention shifts to the race for playoff places.
Reading lie in the bottom play-off spot in 6th, 2 points ahead of Nottingham Forest and Ipswich, and 3 ahead of Brighton. They are slightly under pressure after drawing at home to Huddersfield last weekend, and losing to struggling Barnsley 3-1, also at home. Charlton, while just three points above the relegation zone, have won 3 of their last 5, those losses coming to Burnley and Derby. They have won five of their last six at The Valley.
Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest are an amazingly short 4/6 to beat Millwall at home, having not won a game in 10 matches. Millwall haven’t won in 13, but both teams have miserable recent form. Both teams will welcome back players from injury, with Nottingham Forest having the better quality. Still, they do not convince, and the draw at 14/5 with William Hill appeals.
