Europa League Betting Tips
With just three games remaining, were heading towards the business end of the Europa League group stage.
Kuban Krasnodar v Swansea City
Swansea City are riding high in Group A and could book their place in the knockout stages if they beat Russian side Kuban tonight and Valencia beat St. Gallen.
A late goal from former Liverpool man Djibril Cisse saw Kuban secure a draw in South Wales two weeks ago, claiming their first point of the campaign.
The Swans have a whole host of players out too, with Michu heading the list with an ankle injury. He’s joined by Pablo Hernandez, Garry Monk and Jonjo Shelvey on the sidelines.
But they’ll be keen to make up for Sunday’s defeat to Cardiff City in the South Wales derby and are favourites going into the game, Bet Victor one of the bookies offering odds of 7/4. Bet 365 provide the best odds on a Kuban win at 9/5.
You can catch this one live on ITV4 from 5pm.
Rubin Kazan v Wigan Athletic
In Group B, Wigan Athletic are also visiting Russia where they face Rubin Kazan in another early kick-off.
Wigan are well place in the group, currently occupying the second qualifying spot, just two points behind table-toppers Rubin.
21-year-old Lee Nicholls will make his European debut between the sticks tonight as he comes in for the injured Scott Carson.
Chilean midfielder Jean Beausejour misses out with a foot injury whilst Ben Watson faces a late fitness test.
Rubin are considerable favourites ahead of this one, with Stan James one of a number of outlets offering odds of 1/2.
My Bet of the Day is on a Wigan win, especially as Bet 365 are offering generous odds of 7/1.
This match is live on BT Sport 1 from 5pm.
Tottenham v Sheriff Tiraspol
Tottenham are cruising at the top of Group K and know a win tonight will guarantee qualification, regardless of other results.
Goals from Jan Vertonghen and Jermaine Defoe helped them to a 2-0 win over Sheriff two weeks ago in Moldova and they’ll be confident of securing another win tonight.
Hugo Lloris has been passed fit to play following his collision with Romelu Lukaku on Sunday afternoon but Andre Villas-Boas will only decide whether the Frenchman or Brad Friedel starts, this evening.
Spurs will be without Danny Rose, Sandro and Zeki Fryers and AVB has confirmed Emmanuel Adebayor will not feature. This opens the door for Defoe and youngster Harry Kane.
This match is live on ITV4 from 8:05pm.
There’s plenty more Europa League action on TV tonight, with Maribor v Zulte Waregem and Sevilla v Slovan Liberec on BT Sport 1 from 6pm and 8:05pm respectively. Meanwhile on ESPN, it’s St. Gallen v Valencia and Lazio v Apollon Limassol at the same times.
