The FA Cup reaches the fifth round this weekend and there are a couple of stand-out ties over the next few days, including Manchester City v Chelsea and Arsenal v Liverpool.
Sunderland v Southampton Betting Tips
The Saturday lunchtime kick-off is an all-Premier League affair as strugglers Sunderland take on Southampton.
Sunderland have already secured a spot at Wembley in the League Cup final next month but they dropped into the bottom three of the Premier League after losing 2-0 to Hull City last weekend.
Wes Brown received an early red card in that match and serves the first of his two game ban whilst Steven Fletcher, Carlos Cuellar and goalkeeper Keiren Westwood are all out injured.
Southampton are unbeaten in eight in all competitions and have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game, with Jose Fonte expected to start after picking up a knock on his calf in midweek.
Watch this match on BT Sport 1 live from 12:45pm.
Manchester City v Chelsea Betting Tips
The pair reconvene for a repeat of the Premier League fixture only 12 days ago where Chelsea snatched a 1-0 win to go top of the league.
City will be hoping to gain revenge for that defeat on Saturday evening but they remain without Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho although Samir Nasri and Javi Garcia are in the frame to return following injuries.
Chelsea were unable to capitalise on City’s postponed match on Wednesday night after only able to muster a 1-1 draw with West Brom on the previous evening. The Blues are short at the back, with Gary Cahill joining John Terry on the sidelines with a calf injury.
This game is on ITV1 from 5:15pm.
Everton v Swansea City Betting Tips
The early-kick off on Sunday sees Everton host Swansea City in another all-Premier League clash.
2009 FA Cup finalists Everton remain without Romelu Lukaku and Antolin Alcaraz who are both a couple of weeks away from returning to fitness.
Swansea have been in decent form of late, having only lost one of their past five matches and caretaker boss Garry Monk should have Jonjo Shelvey back from a hamstring injury.
This match is live from 1:30pm on ITV1.
Arsenal v Liverpool Betting Tips
The big game on Sunday is the re-match between Arsenal and Liverpool, with the visitors still relishing in their 5-1 drubbing of the Gunners at Anfield last weekend in the League.
Arsenal were unable to fully bounce back in midweek with a lacklustre 0-0 with Manchester United and the 2005 FA Cup winners are unable to call on the services of Aaron Ramsey and Thomas Vermalen, whilst Santi Carzola is a doubt through illness.
Liverpool snatched a last gasp 3-2 win over Fulham on Wednesday night, stretching their unbeaten run to nine in all competitions.
Right back Glen Johnson is set for a return following an ankle injury but Brendan Rogers remains without midfield pair Lucas Leiva and Mamadou Sakho.
Following last week’s results, the bookies have priced Liverpool as favourites, with William Hill providing the best value at 17/10. However, I believe there is value in an Arsenal win at 9/5 with Bet 365, which is my BET OF THE DAY.
Catch this one on Sunday afternoon from 4pm on BT Sport 1.
Elsewhere in the fifth round this weekend, Sheffield Wednesday take on Charlton and Cardiff City play last year’s winner Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
Then on Sunday Sheffield United face Nottingham Forest after beating Premier League side Fulham in a fourth round replay, then on Monday night, Brighton host Hull City, a game which you can see live on BT Sport 1 from 7:45pm.
