Fiorentina v Sampdoria
Fiorentina are only 6th in Serie A at the moment, but not because they deserve to be somewhere in the middle of the table, but because this season the competition is tougher than ever.
Hosts’ playing style is clean and lucid and they successfully cover all areas of the field. The midfield is the strongest department in the team and very active in both the defensive and offensive phase.
Sampdoria just suffered a shameful defeat on home ground (3-4) against relegation candidates Sassuolo. They were unlucky to get a red card early in the second half, but it is just as the saying goes: “you make your own luck”…
If conceding 4 goals at home is not enough, Sassuolo also lost 2 important defenders, Costa and Gastaldello, both of them suspended for the game against Fiorentina.
You should know that Sampdoria uses 3-4-3 system which neglects the defense. It’s going to be twice as hard for them in that system and without 2 regular defenders (not to mention the valuable opponent…)
Sampdoria’s coach Rossi is under immense pressure. Most likely if Sampdoria will fail to get a result next week a new coach will be announced. That is why I don’t really see a defensive Sampdoria, because for getting results you have to score first.
Keeping the 3-4-3 system, having offensive ambitions and being without 2 central defenders are the perfect ingredients for a big defeat away at Fiorentina.
Fiorentina -1 (European handicap) at 11/10 from Bet Fred is maybe the best bet in Serie A this round. It can be taken with medium to high confidence.
