With the Premier League and Championship having a week off due to the international break, attention turns to League One and Two for the best of the domestic action this weekend.
There are also a couple of mouth-watering local derbies taking place over the weekend over the two leagues.
MK Dons v Swindon Town
The lunchtime TV game on Sky Sports 1 features two teams with play-off ambitions this season as MK Dons host Swindon Town at 12:15pm.
And although they are in League One, MK Dons aren’t immune from the effects of the international break as they are without Lee Hodson who is away with Northern Ireland and Samir Carruthers who is with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s. They are also without Dean Bowditch, Daniel Powell and Tom Flanagan who all miss out with injuries.
Rotherham v Sheffield United
Elsewhere on Saturday afternoon, Rotherham host struggling Sheffield United in an enticing South Yorkshire derby match.
The Blades, who currently sit 17th in the table, have this week had a substantial number of shares bought out by a Saudi Arabian Prince, Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
But it is Rotherham who will fancy their chances going into this one and they are marginal favourites with the bookies, with Bet Victor providing the best odds at 13/8. Sheffield United need to end their bad start to the campaign, and Paddy Power provide the best price of 2/1 on a Blades victory.
Preston North End v Oldham Athletic
The other game on TV this weekend is the Monday night Lancashire derby between Preston North End and Oldham Athletic, which is also live Sky Sports 1.
Simon Grayson’s Preston are still unbeaten in the league; after drawing all four of their opening matches, they finally got their first win on the board with a 3-0 victory at Walsall last weekend.
Lee Johnson’s Oldham side have made a hit-and-miss start to the campaign and currently find themselves in 13th. They were this week boosted with the signing of former FC Basel defender Genseric Kusunga, who, subject to international clearance, will make his debut on Monday.

SkyBet League Two
It’s top v bottom in League Two as early pace-setters Chesterfield host perennial strugglers Accrington Stanley, who have scored just one point so far.
The Spirites are unbeaten so far this season, having won four out of five league games so far this season and will fancy their chances of continuing that run, with Bet Victor providing the best odds of 9/20, with Accrington being priced at 7/1 with the same outlet.
Another tasty-looking game in League Two sees second placed Burton Albion play Oxford United who are third.
Both sides are tied on 11 points with three wins and two draws each so far, Burton Albion are slight favourites with Paddy Power offering odds of 6/4. Bet Victor offer the best odds on an Oxford win at 2/1 whilst a draw is priced at 12/5 with Paddy Power.
