Granada were very lucky to get away with 1 point last round away at Sociedad (finished 1-1). Sociedad dominated the game but didn’t had the patience to wait until the final whistle and were equalized in the dying seconds.
Granada are still involved in the fight to avoid relegation as they sit only 4 points above the red zone. In-spite of that, their efforts aren’t convincing and their playing style is very relaxed like the season is already over.
A couple of rounds ago they defeated Barcelona (1-0) and ever since that game Granada’s players act like rock stars and their sole interest is signing autographs instead of performing convincingly in the field.
Granada will welcome back midfielder Brahimi after suspension but will have to do without midfielder Recio who got a red card last week.
Although they played in 10 for about an entire half, Almeria made a great game last round against Betis (won 3-2). They came back after being 2-1 down and scored the winning goal in extra time. Confidence and determination were only a few of the clearly visible attributes throughout the entire 90 minutes.
The performance is even more praiseworthy as Almeria played without 2 regular defenders, Trujillo and Dubarbier both of them suspended (they will return this round).
Just like their opponents, Almeria are still involved in the battle to avoid relegation. The only difference is they are more constant in efforts and down to earth.
Guests will have to do without winger Suso who got a red card last round and is suspended.
Both sides have reasons to be fired up, but given their recent performances Almeria will be the ones prone to extra efforts. Almeria or draw at 1.80 from Ladbrokes Ladbrokes deserves a medium size bet.
