There are four Premier League matches this midweek, with Liverpool taking on Crystal Palace on Monday night and then Manchester City play Aston Villa on Wednesday, another big game in the title race.
Crystal Palace v Liverpool Betting Tips
Brendan Rodgers must lift his Liverpool side after the disappointment of last week’s defeat to Chelsea, as they face a tough trip to Crystal Palace as they could still win the title if City fail to win both of their remaining games.
Palace will provide stern opposition though, with Tony Pulis steering the pre-season relegation favourites away from danger with an excellent run since Christmas.
Before last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, to Londoners had won their last five on the spin, including wins over Chelsea and Everton.
Rodgers has no fresh injury concerns for the Reds, who had gone 16 games unbeaten before last week’s defeat, with Jose Enrique still absent with a knee injury. Jordan Henderson serves the last match in his three-game ban.
The visitors are well backed by the bookies, Bet 365 amongst many offering 2/5. There is very good value on a Palace win considering their recent form though, with Bet Victor offering 8/1 on them winning.
The game is live from 8pm on Sky Sports 1.
Manchester United v Hull City Betting Tips
United’s dismal season continued at the weekend as they were defeated by strugglers Sunderland at Old Trafford, proving David Moyes can’t take sole responsibility for their dreadful campaign.
Ryan Giggs must rally his troops for Tuesday night’s game against Hull City, knowing their best possible finish this season will be sixth but are on another bad run, with just one win in four.
After a storming start to the season, Steve Bruce’s Hull have faltered since Christmas, and have only secured one win from their last six league games, seeing them slump to 15th in the table.
City have a raft of injuries to deal with, Robbie Brady, Paul McShane, Allan McGregor, Sone Aluko and James Chester are all sidelined. Wayne Rooney is unlikely to return for United after missing Saturday’s game with a groin injury.
Manchester City v Aston Villa Betting Tips
Manchester City know a win on Wednesday night would be a big step in the right direction to reclaiming the Premier League title.
Three points would see them need just one more win against West Ham next Sunday to take the championship for a second time in three seasons.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are unbeaten in five in the league at the Emirates Stadium but will be without Jesus Navas and Mateja Nastasic, whilst Sergio Aguero is a serious doubt after limping off at the weekend during the 3-2 win at Everton with a groin injury.
Villa’s 3-1 win over Hull at the weekend guaranteed their safety but their away form is woeful heading into this match, having not won on the road since New Year’s Day.
Paul Lambert has a lengthy injury list with a number of key players ruled out for the remainder of the season, including Christian Benteke, Libor Kozak, Charles N’Zogbia and Gabby Agbonlahor all absent.
Watch the game live on Sky Sports 1 from 7:45pm.
