Livorno concentrated mostly on defending last round away at Milan (lost 3-0). This approach came as a surprise as they are known to have decent offensive capabilities and a loose defense. Livorno still created a few chances but most of their attempts went wide.
Most likely coach Di Carlo realized that by defending there is no possible way to escape relegation and as consequence he will switch back to an offensive system.
Although they sit in a relegation position, at home Livorno are very confident, apply constant pressure, corner the opponent and score at least one goal in most games.
Lazio were once again engaged in a high scoring encounter last week (3-3 against Torino). The game was a feast for the eyes with numerous chances on both ends but with Torino having the most dangerous opportunities.
Lately Lazio’s defense is very fragile and they even conceded 7 goals in total in the last two rounds. The situation may actually get tougher since central defender Novaretti got a red card and will miss.
Even if striker Klose is still out injured, Lazio look very good attacking wise. Forward Candreva compensates for Klose’s absence, as he is simply in amazing form and scored 4 goals in the last 4 rounds.
With both sides being defensively unstable but having decent offensive potential, there should be an abundance of scoring opportunities in this game. Over 2.5 goals at 10/11 from Paddy Power is simply a must take.
