Milan failed to cover the handicap last round (won 1-0 against Catania). They scored quite early in the first half and reduced the rythm afterwards. The opponent was also surprisingly organized and concentrated forces in the defensive phase, preventing Milan from finding many open spaces.
Due to the recent good run Milan started hoping that a Europa League place is possible at the end of the season. Although there are many solid contenders for that place Milan found a bit of motivation that they lacked about two months ago.
Hosts may welcome back winger Honda who was injured last round. His participation on the right side will definitely increase the rythm of Milan’s offensive actions.
Livorno were again mocked on home ground last week (lost 4-2 against Chievo). It’s simply sad watching Livorno defend. Players aren’t synchronized, they are all over the place, they lack skills and a minimum level of confidence.
There are still rounds to be played but in this manner it will be a miracle if Livorno escape relegation. Defensively they have the worst record in Serie A as they conceded 1.93 goals per game so far.
Offensively speaking Milan may have been a bit of a let down last round, but with the likes of Balotelli, Kaka, Taarabt and Honda, Milan can simply destroy Livorno. Milan -1.5 at 10/11 from Paddy Power is definitely worth some medium to high stakes.
