It is a quiet night with only two games featured in the NBA tonight, however they are two thrilling encounters. Current Champions Miami Heat take on New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden and Denver Nuggets host Oklahoma City Thunder.

Miami Heat @ New York Knicks – 1:00 am

New York Knicks have had a dismal start to this campaign; however the return of Tyson Chandler, paired with the improving Carmelo Anthony is certainly helping to improve the performances of Mike Woodson’s team.

Knicks are currently 12-22 and have won well in their recent two matches, beating Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks. There is no better team to play than Miami Heat at their best though and this is guaranteed to be a tough challenge for the hosts.

Heat are 4/11 to make it four wins in a row on Friday, with Knicks representing decent value at 11/5 with Bwin.

Last year’s top scorer Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points in 39 minutes in the win over Detroit on Wednesday and he is averaging 26.3ppg so far this season, to go with an impressive 8.6 boards.

Heat to win by 1-10 at odds of 11/8 with Paddy Power represents good value for punters. Knicks have improved, however Heat should just have the edge in this one.

Andrea Bargnani had a troubled start to his Knicks career and was filling in for the injured Chandler at center. Since Chandler’s return, Bargnani’s game has improved and even though he has had to replace Chandler at center in the last two games, he has still put up some decent scores.

LeBron James is averaging 25.5ppg and scored 32 points in Heat’s win over New Orleans so him to score above 26.5 points is a worthy option too.

For Knicks to lead at the half and Miami to forge a comeback, Paddy Power offer 9/2 which is another decent bet.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Denver Nuggets – 3.30 am

Oklahoma were beaten by Utah on Wednesday in a game that saw this season’s current top scorer, Kevin Durant post an astonishing 48 points. Denver completely turned their losing streak around when they beat L.A. Lakers and have gone on to win three games in a row.

Thunder are 11/17 favourites, whilst Nuggets represent fairly good value at 13/10 for a home side in some good form.

Oklahoma have started to struggle again since the departure of point guard, Russell Westbrook who proved just how important he is to the team when returning early on in the season. He is averaging 21.3ppg as well as 6 boards and 7 assists and seems to be recovering well to the delight of the team.

Denver have been scoring well as a team, thrashing Celtics 129-98 on Wednesday with six players scoring double figures.

In the same as the previous game, the long shot of Oklahoma winning the first half, before a Denver come back in the second represents decent value at 11/2 as this could go either way.

Thunder to win by 6-10 points with Paddy Power is another bet that is worth a small punt for what is sure to be a thriller.

BET OF THE DAY: Miami Heat to win by 1-10 at 11/8 with Paddy Power.
