Week 7 in the NFL sees two new starting quarterbacks for two different teams, an intriguing match-up of two 4-2 teams, a 0-6 team still searching for it’s first win, and of course the returning of one of the best Quarterbacks in NFL history to his spiritual home.
Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts – Monday 21st October 01:30
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning heads back to his former team the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, with a point to prove after the Colts traded him away two years ago. The Broncos are 6-0 and go in at 5/13 with William Hill, while the underrated Colts are 9/4 with Stan James. The Colts have game-planned for this game for a few weeks, so look for a close game. Denver to win by 1-5 is 16/5 with Paddy Power, a good choice considering their small victory over the 0-6 Jaguars last week. Ladbrokes offer 7/2 on this being the highest scoring game of the week, and the Broncos lead the league in points per game.
Houston Texans @ Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday 20th October 21:25
Quarterback Matt Schaub misses the game for the Texans through injury, with backup Chase Keenum taking the reins. With this in mind the 6-0 Chiefs are a great price at 2/5 with Boylesports, whilst the 2-4 Texans are 12/5 with William Hill. Alex Smith is evens with Ladbrokes to beat the Texans Keenum in pass yardage, while Kansas to win by 13-18 points is 6/1 with Boylesports. The Chiefs D has been the best in the league this season, and a punt at Chiefs defense or special teams to score a touchdown anytime is 5/2 with Paddy Power.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Detroit Lions – Sunday 20th October 18:00
This match-up sees both teams at 4-2 this season, with the Lions going off favorites with Boylesports at 4-5. However the improving Bengals are 6/5 with Bwin, and have been improving in recent weeks. Receiver A.J Green is evens with Coral to score a touchdown anytime, with 4 touchdowns already this season. Quarterback Andy Dalton is 11/8 with Ladbrokes to beat the Lions Matt Stafford in pass yardage, which seems reasonable considering the latter has only a semi-fit Calvin Johnson to throw to at wide receiver.
Minnesota Vikings @ New York Giants – Tuesday 22nd October 01:40
The Minnesota Vikings have confirmed that new signing Josh Freeman will start on Monday, after the troubled quarterback was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and signed by the Vikings. The 1-4 Vikings have struggled only slightly less than the 0-6 Giants, but the notion that the Giants have to win sometime shouldn’t come true this week. The Vikings are a good price at 8/5 with Bet 365, whilst the Giants are 5/9 with Coral. Look for the Vikings receivers Jerome Simpson and Greg Jennings to take over the game, with Paddy Power rating them at 9/5 and 13/10 to score a touchdown anytime respectively.
