NFL Wildcard Playoffs – Saturday

Jack Benyon

In Saturdays round of wildcards we should see a defensive game in Indianapolis and an offensive shootout in Philadelphia.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Indianapolis Colts – Sat, Jan 4 21:55

The 11-5 Chiefs face the 11-5 Colts at the Lucas Oil stadium. The Chiefs went 9-0 before losing to the Broncos, and followed that up with 2-5 after some injuries and poor performances. The Colts are hitting form at the right time finishing the season in dominating fashion winning the last 3 including a 23-7 blowout of the Chiefs in Kansas. The Colts are marginal favourites at 10/11 with Betfred, and the Chiefs go in at evens with Stan James. The running backs are the pick of the anytime touchdown market, with Jamaal Charles at 13/18 with Bwin and Trent Richardson, who scored last week and looks to be over his injury troubles, is 7/4 with Ladbrokes. There’s some good options in the total points markets, Colts over 23 and Chiefs under 23 are both with Paddy Power at 5/6 and 4/5 respectively. The game to have under 46 total points is 10/11 with Sporting Bet. The Colts should again beat the Chiefs as there run of momentum and the Chiefs lack there off should see them clinch. Paddy Power offer 7/5 on a 1-13 point Colts win.

New Orleans Saints @ Philadelphia Eagles – Sun, Jan 5 1:10

The 11-5 Saints take on the 10-6 Eagles at Lincoln Financial field in Philly. The Saints stuttered towards the end of the season after a fantastic start to their campaign, but the Eagles have been fantastic of late, led by former Saints quarterback Nick Foles. Both Foles and Saints QB Drew Brees are very similar, and were going to see a fantastic shootout decided by whichever defence decides to show up. The Saints are outsiders at 5/4 with Boylesports, while the Eagles are 20/27 with Sporting Bet. New Orleans to score over 26.5 points is 5/6 with Paddy Power, and the game to have over 7.5 touchdowns is 2/1 with Bet 365. DeSean Jackson is a nice anytime scoring option at 10/11 with Coral, and the Saints secondary receivers Kenny Stills and Robert Meachem are 3/1 and 11/2 respectively with Ladbrokes and they both scored last week. Theoretically this game could go either way, but if the Saints defence performs well the Saints should win. There 6/4 to win the game by 1-13 with Paddy Power, but if you fancy the Eagles there 4/1 with Bwin to win by 1-6.
