As expected Nurnberg suffered a heavy defeat last round away at Wolfsburg (lost 4-1). Surprisingly Nurnberg took the lead early in the game, even before opponents had the chance to settle in the field. But pretty soon the game became one sided, with Wolfsburg taking full control.
Nurnberg could barely exit their own half, let alone have a decent chance on target.
With only 4 rounds to go, Nurnberg’s situation is getting more complicated and they look like one of the primary candidates for relegation.
Leverkusen are not that impressive in this second part of the season, but at least they’ve picked up some rythm after winning last round over Hertha 2-1. Leverkusen’s domination was kind of moderate but never during the 90 minutes there was any doubt regarding where the 3 points will go.
Top scorer Kiebling scored again reaching a total of 15 goals and confirming the good form.
Both teams play almost in the same system (4-5-1) only that Leverkusen’s formula is a bit more offensive (4-2-3-1) allowing them to apply more pressure on opponent and fully exploit the skills of attacking players.
Both sides will be fired up for this encounter seeing that motivation is running high. But Leverkusen have more value and a better organization that will allow them to take advantage of opponents’ weaknesses. Leverkusen to win at 2.00 from Ladbrokes surely deserves some attention.
