Sassuolo started 2014 just like they finished 2013, with a loss and unable to score. Just like at the beginning of the season, Sassuolo will need a couple of rounds to adapt once again to the Serie A rythm. Until that happens, a series of heavy defeats is foreseen.
When the season first began Sassuolo needed 4 or 5 rounds to get their 1st Serie A point. This is a psychological problem encountered mostly at players from small clubs without many ambitions.
Sassuolo will miss central defender Bianco due to suspension. Bianco is by far their most stable and experienced defender.
Few expected Milan to trash Atalanta 3-0 last round. If I am not mistaken this is the biggest score difference recorded by Milan in Serie A this season. The actual game was not that one sided as you may expect from such a scoreline, but Milan were smart and pragmatic, and successfully converted almost all chances.
Everyone involved in the defensive phase made an excellent game. The performance is even more praiseworthy as captain Montolivo (defensive midfielder) was out due to an injury. He may be back against Sassuolo according to latest reports.
Upfront play-maker Kaka is in excellent form after scoring twice an delivering an assist. Even striker Balotelli played about half an hour and seems to be fully fit.
Milan are in top form at the moment and shouldn’t have any problems against an inferior side who lacks confidence. Milan to win at 8/11 from Stan James is definitely the bet of the round in Serie A.
