Horse Racing Sporting Update W/C 26/10/20 :
It’s officially jumps season!!! The bet365 Charlie Hall Chase signifies the start of the season is here and with Paul Nicholls confirming that Cyrname is set to run in the race, excitement levels have increased a little further. Fresh from his other stable star, Frodon, absolutely waltzing home at Cheltenham on Saturday, Britain’s highest-rated chaser will take on the feature race this weekend at Wetherby. We last saw Cyrname falling in the Ascot Chase in February and now he’s had his elongated break, hopes are high he can get off to a great start this season ahead of bigger and better things.
The Wetherby meeting and Down Royal (both over Friday and Saturday) will see the likes of Envoi Allen, Abacadabras, Samcro, Saint Roi, Delta Work, Presenting Percy and Fakir D’Oudairies all take to the turf to begin their march to glory early next year – now is absolutely the time to get excited and begin that countdown to the Cheltenham Festival, which if you were wondering is 141 sleeps away!
There are some great meetings taking place this week particularly Punchestown on Wednesday. The Wetherby card on Saturday is set to be screened live on ITV4 so a good time to think about the BET365 Offer –
Next week we will also look forward to the Breeders’ Cup meeting over in the US where a number of UK and Irish horses including Kameko, Siskin and Magical will take on the superstars over the pond in what is always a fascinating meeting with huge interest levels. More on this though next week.
Soccer Sporting Update W/C 26/10/20:
Another week and more Champions League, Europa League and domestic action is set to take place and will provide plenty of opportunities for punters to get involved. Some key fixtures of this week are highlighted below:
28th October – Man Utd vs RB Leipzig
31st October – Liverpool vs West Ham
1st November – Man Utd vs Arsenal
The IPL is closing in on the final stages and with Jofra Archer cementing his place as one of the best bowlers in the world and *that* Ben Stokes century, it’s a competition that delivers time after time. The business end of the tournament always sees interest ramped up. CSK and Sunrisers are out of it but the other six teams are bang in with a chance of a top four finish. As always, we see India and Bangladesh with highest interest but also UK and Australian audiences are keen punters on the games.
Rugby Union Sporting Update W/C 26/10/20:
The Six Nations will finally conclude this weekend, seven months after it was due to end we will finally see the 2020 Six Nations champions crowned. Eddie Jones’ England are the overwhelming favourites but Ireland and France are both in with a chance of glory:
England – They will win the title if they beat Italy with a bonus point and France beat Ireland.
France – They must beat Ireland and better England’s result against Italy.
Ireland – If they earn a bonus-point win over France in Paris – achieved by scoring four tries or more – they are guaranteed to win the title.
