Boxing Sporting Update WC 9th Nov 2020 :
Eddie Hearn has a great card on Saturday evening featuring three world title fights all involving women, a massive step in the right direction for their side of the sport. The wonderful Katie Taylor takes to the ring to defend her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring female lightweight titles against Miriam Gutiérrez. Terri Harper defends her WBC and IBO female super-featherweight titles fresh from that incredible draw with Natasha Jonas and finally Rachel Ball will face Jorgelina Guanini for the vacant WBA Bantamweight title. It’s a great card and should prove especially popular in Ireland given Katie Taylor’s roots over there.
Over the pond Kell Brook has one last hurrah facing the unbeaten Terence Crawford, he will look to win the WBO welterweight world title which so far no one has managed to wrestle off the classy American. Crawford famously stopped Amir Khan, someone Kell Brook has always had a war of words with and it will be great to see the man from Sheffield see his name up in lights for potentially one last time.
