Tingle Creek Chase Betting Tips

Ten superb horses will take to the track on what is sure to be a fantastic Saturday of racing, to battle it out for the spoils in the 888Sport Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown.

Tingle Creek Chase Tips

Both Balder Success and God’s own have become comfortable in the company of one another, with the former winning on one occasion and the latter two, of the three races that they have gone against one another.

Alan King’s six-year-old leads the betting with William Hill at 3/1, whilst Tom George’s big threat sits second in the market, with bookmakers generally offering around 4/1 to see him extend his lead in the battle.

Elsewhere, Oscar Whisky is said to be in tip-top condition and is no stranger to winning Grade 1 races, however the drop in trip is an obvious worry to punters, despite Barry Geraghty’s confidence. Somersby and Dodging Bullets both represent decent value and could be bang there come the final furlong, whilst Hinterland has Grade 1 quality but would be a risky bet following a comeback.

Irish Saint is of obvious appeal for the other Grade 1 on the card at Sandown, following an impressive rout to victory on chasing debut here last time out. He is currently a strong favourite for the Henry VIII Chase, with William Hill offering 13/8 for him.

Court Minstrel is the second in the market, with most betting companies around 11/4 for him, whilst both Vibrato Valtat and Dunraven Storm could both quite easily cause an upset in what is a rather disappointing turnout for a top contest.

Becher Chase Tips

The Becher Chase at Aintree is set to be the most thrilling contest of the day. With 25 horses set to run, including some very exciting names, what more could a lover of racing ask for.

There are two horses leading the market at the moment, with Lucinda Russell’s Green Flag and Gordon Elliott’s Balbriggan both available at around 10/1 with most leading markets.

Goonyella is one who sticks out for me, so long as the ground is soft enough. William Hill are offering 12/1 for the seven-year-old, who represents decent value. Benbens is a consistent type who has steadily improved and ran well chasing; he is also 12/1.

At longer odds; Mr Moonshine, The Package and Oscar time are three more who could all run big races and are all currently sitting at around 22/1 in the market. In such a wide open renewal, any or all of the latter three may provide the best betting option.

The other Listed race at Aintree is a difficult one to break down, with the consistent Holywell the current market leader. William Hill are offering around 15/8 for Jonjo O’Neill’s Cheltenham star. Ma Filleule looks the safer option in this race for me though, whilst it is hard to ignore the quality of Sam Winner.

Holywell ran disappointingly at Carlisle last time and may not have enough again here, with future entries more on the mind of both owner and trainer. Nicky Henderson’s second favourite is very much a threat to the favourite and could come out on top.
